Trump Doubles Down on Dehumanizing Rhetoric

Did you think that Trump calling MS-13 gang members "animals" was no big deal? Well, he's not only doing it again, but he's bringing his followers into it and mixing that rhetoric with things he recently said about little children coming into the country, so...

Trump Tests Midterm Message On Immigration, MS-13 'Animals' During Tenn. Rally

"What was the name?" the president prodded the crowd, who yelled back "Animals!"
"They're not human beings," Trump added, saying that they use "glaring loopholes in our immigration laws" in order "to infiltrate our country" and rape, murder and "cut people up into little pieces."

Remember when Trump said that the little kids that border agents are ripping away from their parents and throwing into prison warehouses are conspiring to come here as little kids so that they can turn into gang members and murder people later, and because of this they're "not innocent"? Now he's saying that the people who are "not human beings" are the same as the ones using "loopholes" to "infiltrate" this shit country.

This isn't an accident. It's bad to dehumanize any human, but doing it to children is a whole new level of fucked. Yet millions of people are echoing his rhetoric. Millions of people are willing to call CHILDREN "not innocent" and "animals."

And as we all know, once you don't think of someone as human, it's real easy to let the government murder them. Or let them be sold into human trafficking.

I can't believe I have to be alive to witness our country become this.
