Cops Protect Each Other. EXCEPT.

When a cop is a woman who brings up white male privilege.

Female police captain in Indiana suspended after ‘white male privilege’ remark

Apparently, the """""incident""""" happened when police were being trained in how to treat trans people like people, and some white dude cop refused to believe that trans people are more likely than cis people to be victims of police violence. The police training said a little over 3 times more likely, which sounds fucking lowwwwwwww to me. But this guy.

“My wife has never been part of police violence,” he said. “Most of the people that I know have never been, accused the police of violence. So I guess I don’t get where that statistic comes from.”

??? Is this guy married to a trans woman? Does he only know trans people? Or is he just doubting that police ever commit unnecessary violent acts? (Hint: It's the last one.)

Then one cop spoke some fucking sense for once, and he flips the fuck out.

“‘Cause your white male privilege, so you wouldn’t know” said a woman’s voice. The woman was identified as Weber by local media outlets.
“I’m sorry?” a man asked.
“Your white male privilege,” the woman repeated.
“Chief, you gonna let [unintelligible] get away with that? Seriously? I’m asking a legitimate question here, and I’m getting [unintelligible] white privilege?” the man said, his voice rising.
“Are you serious?” the man then yelled. “I find that extremely offensive.”

Wow, and people call me a snowflake who cries "offensive" at every little thing.

Guy is faced with the reality that trans people are disproportionately affected by police violence, and the idea that he has privilege is what offends him to the extreme. Can't believe that transphobia among cops is a thing, but he is definitely a victim of racism and sexism because he was told he has privilege.

“I was racially and sexistly slurred by Captain Carri Weber while I was asking a question of the instructor in training,” the officer wrote in the complaint. “I am now firmly aware of the discriminatory belief she just verbally communicated. … There is no place in the Plainfield Police administration or supervision for someone who holds and espouses her discriminatory views.”

Sexistly slurred. Okay.

Did other officers protect their captain? Stand up for her? Rally around her because any time a cop is accused of discrimination, this is what cops do? Nope, she's been suspended. Her bosses are going to vote on her future. Meaning she could be fired. Can hardly get a cop fired for murdering trans people and black people right and left, but use the "P" word? THAT'S OFFENSIVE, FIRE HER.

Interesting, isn't it? White male privilege challenged and the cops can't tolerate that for a second. HMMMMMMM.

Either way, lady needs to quit the force and do something better with her life. Lead a campaign to expose the bigotry and violence of police. Get your educated ass out there doing good instead of being part of an oppressive force.
