In today's edition of "in case anyone tries to tell you that sexism isn't a problem anymore," We Hunted the Mammoth ventured into the slimiest depths of Reddit to the "incel" forum (short for "involuntarily celibate," which is fancy talk for dudes who can't get laid) to get a series of intensely disturbing screenshots. Of these pathetic little shits actually celebrating the anniversary of the 2014 Isla Vista mass shooting. The one where a racist and misogynistic waste of space decided to "punish" the women he wanted to fuck who wouldn't fuck him for existing by murdering a bunch of them.
Trigger warning for the screenshots of Reddit posts: Homophobic slurs, ableist slurs, gendered slurs, reverence of a serial killer (Ted Bundy), whorephobic slurs, and of course, rampant misogyny and advocacy of misogynistic violence.
Reddit Incels celebrate misogynist mass murderer Elliot Rodger on “Saint Elliot’s Day”
There is an entire section of Reddit dedicated to these horrible people. Who think that women who won't fuck them (and by the definition of their self-imposed labels, that's all women) deserve to die. For being women. Who won't fuck them. And these are the kinds of people who egged on Rodger's misogyny and the real force that drove him to mass murder.
So yeah. Tell me again.
