Rape and Incest Are the Will of God but Abortion Isn't

So says Oklahoma Rep. George Faught who has introduced a bill that claims to protect kids with "genetic abnormalities" like Down Syndrome from selective abortion but makes no exception for pregnancy due to rape or incest. When challenged by Rep. Cory Williams with the question "is rape the will of God," Faught replied with this bullshit:

“If you read the Bible, there’s actually a couple circumstances where that happened and the Lord uses all circumstances,” Faught replied. “I mean, you can go down that path, but it’s a reality, unfortunately.”

And when pressed further:

“It’s a great question to ask, and, obviously if it happens in someone’s life, it may not be the best thing that ever happened. But, so you’re saying that God is not sovereign with every activity that happens in someone’s life and can’t use anything and everything in someone’s life, and I disagree with that.”

I was raised Christian so I know a thing or two about God's will. Actually, there's only one thing you need to know about God's will, and that is that nobody is supposed to know what it is or even speculate on it.

And, not to brag, but I also know a thing or two about basic human logic. And basic human logic says that if horrible things like rape and incest can be God's will, then abortion could also be God's will. This seems especially true since the Bible never says anything directly about abortion, especially in the New Testament. However, rape and incest are condemned multiple times.

Also, the fact that Republicans are getting more and more bold in their refusal to give exceptions for rape and incest in their anti-abortion bills just shows that they have never given a fuck about victim of either and only ever included these exceptions because the political climate would have made it political suicide. And that's very, very depressing.
