We tried to warn you. Hateful rhetoric leads to violent actions, and giving Nazis a platform emboldens them to take the next logical step.
White supremacist stabs interracial couple after seeing them kiss at bar, police say.
If even the police are calling the guy a white supremacist, then he's a white supremacist.
“He tells them, ‘Yeah, I stabbed them. I’m a white supremacist,'” Lower said. “He begins talking about Donald Trump rallies and attacking people at the Black Lives Matter protest.”
This is yet another incident to happen in the state of Washington, where I live. Not long ago, this happened:
Sikh man in Kent says he was told, ‘Go back to your own country’ before he was shot.
I had meant to blog about this earlier but it shook me up, because I actually went to school in Kent and worked my first job there. It was right next to the city where I grew up. As time went on, the people of the city became increasingly poor and less white, and Kent was more and more often referred to as "ghetto." But there are also gated communities that I had to drive into as a pizza delivery driver back in 2007 full of rich white people that didn't tip well at all.
So in a way, I'm not surprised. But I am outraged and horrified. It makes me want to move back down to that area to clean up the racists.
This comes after the shooting of two Indian men in Kansas that caused the death of one, in which a white guy shouted "get out of my country" before opening fire. Another Indian man was shot in South Carolina and killed on his own lawn. This wasn't made a clear hate crime because nobody was caught screaming about "their" country during the murder, but I feel like there may be a fucking pattern going on here, people. Try to tell me this isn't about race when Indian and Sikh people are constantly targeted. They're not even being targeted by the current racist rhetoric but they always get caught up in it. Try to tell me this isn't about white supremacy.
Nazis are also continuing their anti-semitic terrorism campaign:
Anti-Semitic flyers posted at Texas State; university president refuses to issue statement
Seattle synagogue vandalized with Holocaust denial graffiti
Trump supporters call for “liberal genocide” and deportation of Jews at Arizona rally
And the stories just keep rolling in.
Innocent communities are under active assault in our country, and we have to defend them. That means making it clear to everyone you know that any form of racism or anti-semitism will not be tolerated. Not on your Facebook feed, not in your neighborhood, not in your country. Nazis are not welcome here.
