Black Kids Still Being Gunned Down for No Reason

In a repeat of the brutal murder of Jordan Davis, an old white man named William Ronald murdered 15-year-old James Means by shooting him twice in the abdomen after a brief verbal exchange apparently related to the child bumping into the grown man by accident upon entering the store earlier. And just like Michael Dunn, Davis' murderer, Ronald showed no remorse for these actions. He went home and ate dinner like it was any other day.

After being arrested, he said: "The way I look at it, that's another piece of trash off the street."

To white men like Ronald, black children are not human. He did not see that child as a human being. Nor even an animal. Just a "piece of trash" to be disposed of. This is literally what he thinks, according to the thing he actually said.

And U.S. white supremacy marches on.

The photos of Means rip my heart in half. He was a child. He was a baby. He didn't do anything wrong. He did not deserve to die.

Rest in peace, James Means.
